At some point in our lives we've all wondered what it would be like to be a millionaire.

We've all had that dream of living the millionaire lifestyle (unless you're already a millionaire and you actually live that lifestyle, in which case move along now).

What if, for just one day you decided to let loose and just live the good life? What better day to choose than Christmas Day and make the most magical day of the year that more magical?

"Where would would I even start?" you might ask. Don't worry. We've got you covered.

Here's the essential list of 5 ways to spend Christmas Day like a millionaire.

1. Give yourself a name makeover

What's in a name? A lot actually. A name can make you sound like a prince or a pauper, a businessman or a bum. Add in a title to increase status.

2. Downton Abbey cosplay

If you really want to live the millionaire lifestyle what better way than to follow the example set by the Crawley family? Dress up as your favourite characters for the day and settle in for the Downton Christmas Special (the last ever episode!). Bonus points if you can bribe the kids to dress up as the help and convince Nan to hurl put downs at you during the commercial breaks.

3. Treat yo self

Christmas shopping is a stressful time for all involved. Whether it's the traffic en route to the shops, the queues in the store or the weight of the seemingly endless shopping bags, the whole process can take years off you. The worst part about the whole thing however, is that while you're desperately trying to pick out that present for a special someone, all you can see is stuff you want for yourself. Why does Christmas have to be all about giving to other people? Why can't you give to yourself too? It's definitely what a millionaire would do.

So if you see an outfit that's perfect for you...

If you feel you'd appreciate those Beat headphones a lot more than little Jimmy...

Or if you decide you really want to have that extra mince pie...

4. Act eccentric

A lot of millionaires are known for their eccentricities. Oscar Wilde supposedly used to walk a lobster on a leash. While stories of Howard Hughes' eccentricities are the stuff of legend.

So this Christmas, maybe do something unusual for the day, like bring the cat for a walk?

5. Buy a Christmas Millionaire Raffle ticket

It's all well and good adopting the traits of a millionaire in order to feel like one on Christmas Day. But wouldn't it be better to actually be a millionaire? Well with only 350,000 tickets available, the National Lottery is giving you your best ever shot with the Christmas Millionaire Raffle.
