We've all done it, when you're walking home from a night out and you spot a sign, or a traffic cone and you think it's a great idea to rob it. Then, waking up the next morning with a sign for 'Cork, 225km' lying next to you in the bed. Well, it seems a group in Australia have taken things a step further, by nicking an absolutely enormous Mango.

A 30ft mango, weighing 7 tonnes, has been robbed in the town of Bowen, in Queensland, Australia. Thieves absconded with the massive monument after using a crane to lift it from its concrete platform.

The big Mango is one of Australia's iconic 150 Big Things, and has been a major attraction for tourists in the area since it was erected in 2002.

Chairman of Tourism for the town, Paul McLaughlin, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation:

"It looks like it was sort of two o’clock this morning-type thing. There was ... some heavy equipment and it looks like they’ve taken the mango"

Looks like? Well it's not like it's hiding behind a tree, like.

But what would you be doing with a 30ft, 7 tonne mango? I mean, it's not like you can sell it for parts. Plus, where the feck are they going to hide a thing that's twice the height of a house? Not the back garden, anyway.

Paul McLaughlin, speaking to the Brisbane Times, concluded that:

"At the end of the day it’s a bloody big mango and I’m sure someone will see it and we’ll find it anyway"

Among Australia's Big Things are The Big Banana, The Big Pineapple and The Big Lobster. There's even The Big Penguin. Maybe this group are looking to start a collection.

Look out Pingu, you could be next, mate.
