A bug in WhatsApp has left 200 million of the app's users at risk of hackers installing malicious software on their PCs.

According to security company, Checkpoint, the popular instant messaging app has since fixed the problem but the devices that have previously used it could already be infected.

The bug, which affected the web version of the app, the one you need to use your PC to access, could allow hackers to send viruses in the form of online business cards, which if opened could download and infect your system with ransomware.

Probably best to just stick to the mobile version so, and definitely run an anti-virus scan. Then all you have to do is move to the woods, throw away all of your electrical goods, build a log cabin and never be at the mercy of hackers ever again.
