Dangerous? Yes. Stupid? Most definitely. But can we just take a moment to give this kid a round of applause for ingenuity and major cojones? Certainly.

The unnamed Norwegian boy from the town of Dokka, who we'll call Kevin McCallister due to his brazen nature, decided that he wanted to go visit his grandparents who lived 60km away from his home and set off with his 18-month-old sister just before 6am, getting 10km down the road before veering into a snowy ditch. After a snowplow found him and called the police, the boy came out with the most fantastic excuse of all time.

‘The boy told the snowplow driver that he was a dwarf and that he had forgotten his driver's licence at home.’ said a spokesman for the Vest Oppland police district.

'The parents woke up and discovered that the children were missing and that someone had taken off with their car. They were pretty upset, as you can imagine. We have talked to them, and I'm pretty sure they're going to pay very close attention both to their children and to their car keys in the future.' That's some understated Norwegian comedy there folks. That kid is going to be on lockdown for the rest of his life.
