Philippe Petit always dreamed of walking between New York's Twin Towers... and by walk we mean on a tightrope at the very top of them. Yep, this is not for the faint-hearted. Not even Philippe's perilous Notre Dame and Sydney Harbour Bridge air-walks in the early 70s could satisfy his lust for conquering the World Trade Centre. This Oscar-winning documentary takes us through the momentous day he finally got to do it in 1974, exploring the fears of the crew at the time, who not only had to worry about getting into the towers and past security, but had to worry about nature's great variable - the weather. As well as being accused of assisted suicide and involuntary manslaughter should Petit fall. With everything in place and after hiding from the guards for hours and finally managing to secure the rope - a quarter of a mile and 110 floors up, Petit takes his first tentative steps out into the void...
