The post-apocalyptic thriller, directed by Emmy-winner Susanne Bier, shows Bullock travelling through a river and forest blindfolded with two children - named 'Boy and 'Girl' - in tow. They must avoid the 'creatures', who will make them die by suicide, and make it to safety.

As it turns out, the movie has been generally well received and viewed by an enormous amount of people over the Christmas period according to Netflix. Here is the figure they have released:

As this information only gives the number of accounts that have viewed 'Bird Box', an accurate number of viewers is difficult to ascertain. However, we think it's fair to say that it is a huge number that Netflix are obviously delighted about. Also starring Trevante Rhodes, John Malkovich and Jacki Weaver, 'Bird Box' is based on a novel of the same name by writer Josh Malerman.

'Bird Box' is currently available on Netflix.
