This is not some old school western, it's new school. As Netflix quite rightly says, "This ain't your grandaddy's Western!"

'The Harder They Fall' stars Idris Elba, Regina King, Jonathan Majors, LaKeith Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz in a fresh take on the ol' reliable formula of a western film, promising to be one thrill of a horseback ride.

As you can see in the trailer below, the Netflix film will see Elba and Majors go head to head in the ultimate takedown. When Nat Love discovers that his enemy, Rufus Buck, is being released from prison, he reunites his gang to track Rufus down and seek revenge.

Those riding with Nat Love (Majors) are his former love Stagecoach Mary (Beetz) and his right and left-hand men Bill Pickett (Edi Gathegi) and fast drawing Jim Beckwourth (R.J. Cyler). Meanwhile, Buck (Elba) has his own fearsome crew, including Trudy Smith (King) and Cherokee Bill (Stanfield).

Directed by Jeymes Samuel (also known for his stage name of The Bullitts), this is his first feature-length film. Samuel is more widely known for his music production and songwriting abilities. He also happens to be the younger brother to famed singer-songwriter, Seal.

Speaking of music, the track heard during the 'The Harder They Fall' trailer teases a new Jay-Z and Kid Cudi collaboration. Jay-Z was also attached to the project as a producer, along with Lawrence Bender ('Reservoir Dogs', 'Pulp Fiction').

'The Harder They Fall' had quite a storied journey up until its release next month. Cynthia Erivo, Wesley Snipes and Sterling K. Brown were all cast in the film initially but had to exit due to production delays last year.

Here's the trailer for the action-packed movie.

'The Harder They Fall' will be in select theatres in October, followed by its release on Netflix on November 3.
