A music documentary series that includes never-before-seen footage of the music legends that are The Beatles is coming very soon.
'The Beatles: Get Back' consists of three parts and is set to debut on streaming service Disney Plus.
Directing the series is Peter Jackson, best known as the helmer of the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy.
The documentary depicts the Beatles' January 1969 recording sessions.
It also features (for the first time in its entirety) their last live performance as a group - the rooftop concert on London's Savile Row.
The series depicts the band's creative process as they attempt to write 14 new songs ahead of their first live concert in over two years.
With such a challenging deadline, the friendship between the members of the Beatles is put to the test.
The docuseries is compiled from nearly 60 hours of unseen footage shot over 21 days (directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg in 1969), and from more than 150 hours of unheard audio, most of which has been locked in a vault for over half a century.
The footage and audio is now been brilliantly restored.
Plus the series shows how some of the world's most iconic songs were composed and performed in extraordinary circumstances.
