The trailer for the Apple TV+ festive flick 'Spirited' has dropped starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell.

What is a calendar year if not just one big countdown to Christmas, eh? It seems like Apple TV+ is already done with Halloween, even though it's still three weeks away. So why not just submit to the festive tidings and take a look at the trailer for 'Spirited'.

The upcoming film is a musical reimagining of the Charles Dickens classic 'A Christmas Carol'. Nothing may ever top the Muppets' version, but hey, there's no harm in trying.

Reynolds will be playing Clint Briggs, a younger, funnier version of the old, crotchety Ebenezer Scrooge, while Ferrell will be portraying the ghost of Christmas Present.

However, Clint turns the tables and re-examines the ghost’s past, present and future. For the first time, 'A Christmas Carol' is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale.

Octavia Spencer stars alongside Reynolds and Ferrell. Patrick Page, Sunita Mani, Loren Woods, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley and Jen Tullock make up the rest of the ensemble cast.

'Spirited' is directed by Sean Anders, who also co-wrote the film alongside John Morris. The film will also feature all new original songs by Oscar-winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul of 'La La Land'.

Production began way back in July 2021, when Reynolds posted an Instagram picture of the first day of shooting.

'Spirited' releases in cinemas on Nov 11, followed by an Apple TV+ release on Nov 18.
