On the go for 13 years, the 'Drag Race' franchise has given us 367 charismatic, unique, nervy, talented queens from the both the US and international spin-offs. And there's more just around the bloody corner *squeals in Drag Race*.
'RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars' queens have practically just downed tools (tucking panties, breast plates, pussycat wigs) and there's already more 'Drag Race' news to lip sync about — the show has been renewed for a 15th season.
According to Deadline, Paramount+ noted a record number of viewers for the debut of its latest 'All Stars' series, though the figure itself was not revealed. Plus, the praise online for the series was so universal in the fandom that the news of a 15th season of our beloved show came as no surprise.
Of the dragtastic revelation, RuPaul said "We never take for granted the opportunity we've been given to showcase drag excellence and tell authentic queer stories. Thank you to the fans, World of Wonder, VH1, our cast and crew, and most of all, our brave and beautiful queens".
Having brought drag to the mainstream, RuPaul has done phenomenal work for the LGBTQ+ community, encouraging queens and viewers to own their weirdness, be themselves, and love themselves —'cus how in the hell are they gonna love somebody else?
"When I hear season 15 of RuPaul's Drag Race, I have to pinch myself — I just won't tell you where" he says. Honestly, same. And we cannot wait to see who shantays into the werk room next, purse first.
