With one foot in both the movie and music worlds, it's not very often that we see Justin Timberlake in a big budget film.

The all-rounder's last movie role - following on from the last 'Trolls' voiceover he did a couple of years back, and Apple Original 'Palmer' in 2021 - sees him star alongside Benicio del Toro in a new Netflix thriller.

It's called 'Reptile' and sees del Toro playing a Detective Tom Nichols, who is attempting to unravel the mystery behind the brutal murder of a young estate agent.

Timberlake plays Will Grady, the boyfriend of the victim and one of four possible suspects in her murder.

Del Toro said that he was attracted to the 'unpredictability' of the storyline. "There were a couple of what I like to call ‘Oh, shit’ moments that also compelled me to get involved," he said, while Timberlake compared the film's narrative to a page-turner of a novel, saying "I liked the idea of playing a character that has to constantly react to the unpredictability of what’s thrown in his direction."

The film is released on Netflix on October 6th and also stars Alicia Silverstone, Eric Bogosian, Ato Essandoh and Domenick Lombardozzi.
