The follow-up to the mega-successful 'Fleabag' has been given the green light at Amazon Studios.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is back with a brand new series. Created by the multi-award-winning actor-turned-writer, the series has been signed off for production at Amazon Studios.

Deadline initially broke the news, followed by Prime Video tweeting they have "some news" about the British star.

Everything about the new Phoebe Waller-Bridge series is currently under wraps, with production expected to begin before the end of the year. She initially signed a three-year deal with Amazon Studios in September 2019 following the release of the second and final season of her hit dramedy.

Anticipation for her next creation will be stratospherically high, especially given the accolades attached to 'Fleabag' - a Bafta, a SAG award, two Golden Globes, and three Emmy Awards.

Since her world-dominating stage production and series, the 36-year-old has spread her wings and has taken to adding her two cents to a number of movies and TV series. She took on the role of executive producer on 'Killing Eve' and was also showrunner on season one; she also joined Bond's latest effort 'No Time To Die' as a screenwriter.

Just this week, it was confirmed that her next big-screen starring role, 'Indiana Jones 5', had wrapped production on location. The film has a release date of summer 2023 attached. Last year, the star was expected to join Donald Glover in a reboot of 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' but she later exited.

Are you excited for more Waller-Bridge action? Of course you are. In way of celebration, let's rewatch some of the best bits from 'Fleabag' to curb our love for Waller-Bridge.

Seasons one and two of 'Fleabag', as well as the live theatrical performance, are available to stream on Prime Video.
