The coming-of-age rock film sees two teens who are mad about everything metal try and find a bassist for the coveted Battle of the Bands.

'Metal Lords' hits Netflix early next month, and judging from the trailer, the coming-of-age film will be right up many people's avenues.

Directed by Peter Sollett ('Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist') and produced by D.B. Weiss from 'Game Of Thrones' fame and Greg Shapiro from 'Harold & Kumar', the rock film sees two best friends try out for their school's Battle of the Bands. The only snag is that they don't have a bassist - but there's one person who might fit the bill.

'Metal Lords' stars 'Knives Out' and 'IT' actor Jaeden Martell as Kevin, with Adrian Greensmith from 'Harlan Coban's Shelter' starring as his best friend Hunter.

Rounding out the leading trio is English actor Isis Hainsworth ('Emma', 'Misbehaviour') as Emily. Joe Manganiello from 'True Blood' and 'Justice League' fame also joins the cast.

D.B. Weiss has been a long-time fan of the metal genre, and so it should come as no surprise that he teamed up with Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who served as executive music producer on the film.

Reminding us a little of Jack Black's classic 'School Of Rock' and the cute and catchy Irish film 'Sing Street', here's the trailer.

'Metal Lords' joins a long line of Netflix releases coming in April, including Judd Apatow's star-studded 'The Bubble' and 'Russian Doll' season two. Before these, however, comes the eagerly-awaited 'Bridgerton' season two on March 25.

'Metal Lords' hits Netflix on April 8.
