Much like the snow currently making another appearance on our shores this month, there's been a flurry of speculation as to the Netflix/Marvel/Disney+ deal.

According to reports from yesterday (Wednesday, February 23), the Netflix Marvel shows are headed to Disney+ in the near future. While we haven't received official word of this happening here in Europe, we now know that 'Daredevil', 'Jessica Jones' et al will be departing Netflix at the end of February.

Yes, so if you've got an itch for a revisit to 'Luke Cage', or if you're thinking, "Hey, maybe 'Iron Fist' might not be so bad the second time around," you only have (at the time of writing) four days to binge the series on Netflix.

According to a number of websites yesterday, Disney+ will begin streaming all of the Netflix Marvel shows, including 'The Defenders' and 'The Punisher', from March 16 in Canada only. entertainment.ie has reached out to the Irish Disney team, who have not yet confirmed a date for their arrival.

Speculation is rife that Disney plans on reviving at least one of the Netflix Marvel series, following their cancellations in 2019. Charlie Cox's three seasons of 'Daredevil' proved to be the most popular (and critically-acclaimed) of the six series created, and the character even made a cameo appearance in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin also appeared in 'Hawkeye', signalling that yes, anything can happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney and Marvel Studios could be downplaying the series' addition due to the arrival of their next entry in the MCU, 'Moon Knight', hitting the streaming service on March 30.

Oscar Isaac's superhero is a brand new character being introduced into the Marvel fold, so the series already has quite a steep challenge ahead of itself to win over its audience. 'Moon Knight' will also be the first Disney+ series to be led by a previously unseen superhero, and from what we've seen of it so far from trailers, it'll lean more heavily into the supernatural aspect of the MCU.

Hopefully, we'll get confirmation on the Netflix Marvel shows and their potential move to Disney+ in Europe very soon. We'll update this article should we receive any updates.
