If you can believe it, there were a total of nine MCU creations unleashed to fans during 2021. While four were big-budget movie releases, our main focus here are the five TV series of the past year.
Nearly one year on from the first MCU Disney+ series, we've created a quiz in honour of all five small screen releases for the Marvel fans out there.
Last January, we were all feeling rather perplexed following the release of the first two episodes of 'WandaVision'. Fast forward 12 months and we're still reeling from that surprise cameo crossover from 'Hawkeye' in the season finale.
While some series were more memorable than others, 'WandaVision', 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, 'Loki', 'What If...?' and 'Hawkeye' delivered exciting expansions on the secondary characters of the superhero franchise. They gave us a better understanding of the heroes who had, thus far, often remained lower on the tier when compared to other MCU heavy-hitters such as Iron Man, Captain America and The Hulk.
Since their series, however, these characters have graduated into becoming top-tier superheroes. The ending of 'WandaVision' will lead directly into this year's 'Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness'; Falcon has now picked up the mantle of Captain America; the God of Mischief will be back for season two; as will 'What If...?'; while Kate Bishop was quirky enough to warrant an appearance in future Marvel creations.
