Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, and Dane DeHaan star in a chilling retelling of Stephen King's horror novel for Apple TV+.

Academy Award winner Julianne Moore is heading back to the small screen, playing the central role in Stephen King's new gothic drama series called 'Lisey's Story'. The first trailer of the series has been released, which you can see below.

Moore will play a widow who is mourning the death of her late husband, played by Clive Owen. Still coming to terms with his passing, Lisey begins to unravel when forgotten memories of her marriage come flooding back. Dane DeHaan is also part of the series, playing a menacing stalker.

Joan Allen ('Nixon', 'Face/Off'), Jennifer Jason Leigh ('Annihilation', 'Atypical'), and Sung Kang ('The Fast & Furious' franchise) also star in the series.

The limited series is made up of eight episodes and is directed by Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín, who previously directed Academy Award-nominated films 'No' and 'Jackie'. Executive producer J.J. Abrams is also on board, with Stephen King the writer of the series and also the executive producer. Abrams and King will be collaborating together once again, as the pair are also busy working on a new horror anthology series 'Tiny Horrors'.

Here's the official synopsis of the title: "Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, and adapted by the author himself, 'Lisey’s Story' is a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey Landon two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon. A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind."
