It looks like the sequel to 'Enchanted', titled 'Disenchanted', will have all the lead characters you loved from the first movie.
Previously, Patrick Dempsey confirmed that both he and Amy Adams would be returning for the movie. Now it looks like their co-stars Idina Menzel and Patrick Dempsey have signed on too.
'Enchanted' saw an animated maiden named Giselle (Adams) get turned into a real life woman and transported to New York City on the day of her wedding.
There she meets a cynical lawyer named Robert (Dempsey) and they fall in love.
Robert is dating Nancy (Menzel).
However, the finale sees her paired off with Giselle's fiancé Prince Edward (Marsden), as he is the overly romantic, chivalrous type she's always been looking for.
The film ends with Giselle and Robert happily ever after. At the same time, Nancy and Edward flee to the animated kingdom of Andalusia and get hitched.
In a recent zoom interview with JLGB Virtual, composer Alan Menken confirmed the return of Idina Menzel and James Marsden.
He said: "Amy Adams is in it. Patrick is in it. Idina Menzel is in it. James Marsden - they're in it."
He described the sequel as "really good". He also said that they are currently filming.
Menken is penning new songs for 'Disenchanted'.
There are no plot details yet. We do know Adam Shankman, who helmed 'Hairspray' and the upcoming 'Hocus Pocus' sequel, is directing.
We also know that the feature will be going to Disney+.
Its filming locations include Ireland and LA, with production set to wrap this August.
