Henry Cavill has injured his leg on the set of Netflix series 'The Witcher'.
Luckily the injury isn't too serious, having been described as a minor leg muscle injury.
The actor will be benched from the production for a short time.
But filming on the fantasy series is continuing without Cavill.
They will be taking a break for Christmas.
Production on the series was previously postponed due to the pandemic.
According to The Sun, the 'Superman' star was injured on an assault course while 20 feet in the air and secured by a safety harness.
A source said: “The filming has been hit because of what happened to Henry. He was on an assault course and injured his leg.
“He just suddenly pulled up and was clearly in a lot of pain. It wasn’t clear if an object had hit his leg or it was some sort of hamstring or muscle injury.
“It wasn’t bad enough to need an ambulance but it’s messed up the filming schedule as he can’t walk properly.
“He has to wear heavy armour in the scenes and he just wouldn’t be able to do it with his leg injury.’’
Aside from Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Feya Allan make up the leads of the second season of 'The Witcher'.
New cast additions include Kristofer Hivju, best-known for playing Tormoud Giantsbane on 'Game of Thrones', as Nivellen.
Following the popularity of season one of 'The Witcher' back in 2019, Netflix is also working on a prequel series called 'Blood Origin', as well as an animated spin-off movie.
