In the category of "Things You Didn't Expect To Be Rebooted", there's little chance that something like 'Fraggle Rock' would have featured in it.
For one, it was a show that was quintessentially of its time, all ratty muppets playing soft rock under a house, characters with inappropriate names - one of them was called Boober, for feck sake - it was all just very '80s, of its time, and certainly not the kind of show you'd expect to turn up on Apple TV+.
However, it's been confirmed by several US trade bibles that the tech giant is planning to reboot the series, and that the original cast of muppets - that's Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey, Wembley, and Uncle Travelling Matt - are all set to return for "new songs and adventures, with the same spirit as the classic", according to Apple.
As well as this, the entire original series and all 96 episodes will be made available on the streaming platform, as well as the mini-episodes produced in the past few weeks, 'Fraggle Rock: Rock On!', which featured appearances by Alanis Morissette, Tiffany Haddish, Ziggy Marley, and Neil Patrick Harris.
And just for good measure, here's the cracking opening song.
