There's a whole bunch of Disney+ original content arriving on the streaming service when it launches shortly.

A wide range of TV series and movies that won't be available anywhere else are included in its package.

You may be unfamiliar with exactly what's on offer.

So we're here to tell you what you need to know.

MOVIES

LADY AND THE TRAMP

The latest Disney animated feature to get the CGI/live-action hybrid treatment a la 'The Jungle Book' or 'The Lion King' is 'Lady and the Tramp'. Tessa Thompson ('Thor Ragnarok', 'Creed') voices Lady while Justin Theroux voices Tramp.

STAR GIRL

Based on the young adult novel of the same way, 'Stargirl' follows the titular quirky new student and the boy who becomes enthralled by her.

TIMMY FAILURE

Timmy is an aspiring detective and accident prone, with an imaginary 1,200-pound polar bear as his best friend. This one is really just for the kids, though there are appearances from Craig Robinson and Wallce Shawn which the grown ups will appreciate.

TOGO

One can never have too many dog movies, right? This one sees Willem Dafoe team up with a furry companion. It's based on a true story revolving around a sled dog set in 1925 against the terrain of the Alaskan tundra.

SERIES*

BE OUR CHEF (27 MAR)

A cooking competition series for the Disney-obsessed. It arrives on Disney+ later this month.

CLONE WARS

'Star Wars' fans will know all about this one. The animated series takes place in the middle of the saga and follows Anakin Skywalker among others.

The final season of 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' will be available exclusively on Disney+. At launch, episodes one and two will be available. Two episodes will then be released every Friday, from Friday 27th March. From Friday 17th April, one episode will be released weekly, in line with the US. This way fans around the world can experience it together.

DIARY OF A FUTURE PRESIDENT

Another Disney original series is 'Diary of a Future President', starring Gina Rodriguez ('Jane the Virgin') and Selenis Leyva  ('Orange is the New Black'). A Cuban American woman campaigning to be president reads back over the diary she kept as a young girl.

DISNEY FAIRYTALE WEDDINGS

Grooms may want to hide their Disney enthusiast brides away from this one. It sees couples take fairy tale romance as the theme of their big day, setting their dream weddings at enchanting, spectacular, and probably very expensive, locations.

ENCORE!**

If you love school nostalgia and Broadway musicals, this combines the two. Former students get together years later and recreate the musical they put on in school.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: THE MUSICAL: THE SERIES

An enthusiastic drama teacher approaches the students of the school where 'High School Musical' was set in the hopes of putting on 'High School Musical' as their high school musical. As the lyrics go, "High School Musical, who says we gotta let it go?"

MARVEL HERO PROJECT

This show looks at real-life heroes, unlike the flying, cape-donning ones on the big screen. Its focus is on young people making a big impact on their community.

PICK OF THE LITTER

Looking for more dog content? Of course you are. In this series, we follow six dogs on their journey to become guide dogs.

SHOP CLASS

Another competition series based on 'shop class', or as we call it here, woodwork. Teams of young builders are tasked with designing, building, and testing unique creations.

THE IMAGINEERING STORY

This show takes an in depth-look at the history and creation of the Disney theme parks and attractions around the world.

THE MANDALORIAN

Again, one the 'Star Wars' fans will know all about. The series depicts a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Two episodes of 'The Mandalorian' will be available on 24th March. Episode 3 arrives on the service on Friday 27th March.

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO JEFF GOLDBLUM**

How has no one thought of giving Jeff Goldblum his own show before this? In this documentary series, he explores all the things that fascinate him.

SHORTS (MOVIES & TV)

FAMILY SUNDAYS

This crafting show teaches you and your family to make DIYs which are Disney-inspired.

FORKY ASKS A QUESTION

Set after 'Toy Story 4', Forky (Tony Hale) asks life's big questions like what is a friend and what is money.

LAMP LIFE

Also set after 'Toy Story 4', this short sees Bo Peep recall what happened to her after life with Bonnie.

ONE DAY AT DISNEY

This documentary series takes as its subject matter various employees at The Walt Disney Company as we follow a day in their lives.

PIXAR IN REAL LIFE

Various famous characters and iconic scenes from Pixar movies are recreated in real life.

SHORT CIRCUIT

This showcase of shorts by Disney Animation was inspired by an experimental program.

*In most cases, the Disney+ original series will have episode one available at launch. New episodes will be released weekly. They become available on the service every Friday at 8am.

**The complete series of both 'Encore!' and 'The World According to Jeff Goldblum' will be made available in Ireland at launch.

Disney+ launches in Ireland and the UK on March 24th.
