Will Smith's performance was one of the few positives in last year's Suicide Squad. He and director David Ayer will be hoping to recapture that chemistry in Bright, their new film for Netflix.

Will Smith plays Ward, a human police officer teamed up with an Orc officer Jakoby, played by Joel Edgerton. Battling both their own personal differences as well as an onslaught of enemies, they must work together to protect a deadly, thought-to-be-forgotten relic, which in the wrong hands could destroy everything.

Along with Smith and Edgerton, the cast includes Noomi Rapace, Edgar Ramirez and Ike Barinholtz. The script was written by Max Landis, whose previous work includes Victor Frankenstein.

Netflix have not had huge amounts of success with their original films, but maybe this will be the one to turn things around.

Bright will be released on the streaming platform on December 22nd
