Seems like every day we're reporting on another movie skipping cinemas and heading to on demand. Such has been the case for Disney Pixar's 'Soul' and 'The Witches' already this week.

The latest film bound for streaming is 'Coming 2 America'.

It's the sequel to the 1988 Eddie Murphy comedy 'Coming to America', which follows an African's prince's adventures in Queens, New York, as he searches for a bride.

Paramount Pictures has sold the film to Amazon Studios in a deal reportedly worth about $125 million.

It premieres later this year.

Amazon has acquired some pretty impressive features of late. 'Borat 2', for example, hits the streamer in a couple of weeks on October 23rd.

'Coming 2 America' marks one of several titles Paramount has sold to streamers this year.

Previously they shipped 'The Lovebirds' and 'Trial of the Chicago 7' to Netflix while 'Without Remorse', a Tom Clancy adaptation starring Michael B. Jordan, went to Amazon.

The 'Coming to America' sequel will see Murphy back in the fold. Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, John Amos, Vanessa Bell Calloway and Shari Headey also return.

New additions to the cast include Leslie Jones, Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, Kiki Layne and Jermaine Fowler.

The upcoming features sees Prince Akeem, who is about to become king of Zamunda, discover he has a son he never knew about in America. Thus he sets out alongside best friend Semmi to go to New York, again.

'Coming 2 America' is expected to stream from December 18.
