Better clear your calendar for September as the best month for on-demand releases is here.

As well as there being plenty of new releases hitting our screens this month, there have also now been a great choice of classic TV series and movies on Netflix for subscribers to reminisce over. Here are some of the picks which have been added from today, September 1.

First up for TV lovers, it's the three series of Channel 4's 'Black Books' starring Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey and Tamsin Greig, which began back in 2000. The comedy series allowed us into the very strange and wonderful mind of the repulsive bookshop owner Bernard Black and his two only friends.

The first nine seasons of the US version of 'Shameless' are now also available to watch, with the William H. Macy-led comedy/drama now just needing two more seasons for the full collection to become available. All three seasons of hit Dutch political drama series 'Borgen' are also now available.

And finally, for reality TV heads out there, the third and fourth seasons of 'Keeping up With the Kardashians' have been added to Netflix. These two seasons cover the lives of the reality TV stars from way back in 2008 and 2009.

In terms of movies, the original (and best) 'Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory' from 1971 has been added today, while the Tim Burton remake from 2005 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' is also a recent addition. If you're looking for more children's titles, 'Boss Baby: Get That Baby!' is an interactive short which is sure to keep the little ones entertained too.

'Zoolander' is yet classic comedy to add to your watch list, alongside other titles 'A Beautiful Mind', 'Watchmen', '40 Days and 40 Nights', 'Blow', and 'Indecent Proposal'.

Sam Raimi's 'Darkman' leads a range of classic horror and action thriller movies, which also includes 'Zodiac', 'Demolition Man', 'Freddy vs Jason', and 'The Sum of All Fears'.
