The Academy Award-winning artist Billie Eilish will appear alongside Lisa Simpson on a Simpsons themed short 'When Billie Met Lisa'.

Musicians have always been a feature of the 'The Simpsons' from the very first season that featured Ron Taylor, right up to the 33rd season featuring the Weeknd.

So, it was only a matter of time before the pop sensation Billie Eilish took her turn on the show. Set to air on Disney+ on the 22nd of April, the short will follow the pair from when they meet while Lisa is looking for a quiet spot to play the saxophone, to their jam session in Billie's studio.

Disney stated in their press release that the meet-up will be unforgettable for Lisa — and we reckon it will be for the same for us viewers.

The short is to be the 4th of an entire series of specials, including a 'Star Wars' themed episode called 'Maggie Simpson In The Force Awakens From Its Nap', a Marvel episode called 'The Good, The Bart, and the Loki', as well as 'The Simpsons Plusaversary'.

Hot on the heels of performing at Coachella as the youngest headliner in the festival's history, we cannot wait for the episode.

But we have so many questions. Will there be new music? Will her brother and partner in music Finneas be on the show too? Will Lisa be featured on a song with her? We'll have to just watch and see.

Catch 'When Billie Met Lisa' on Disney+ on the 22nd of April.
