The cast of the much anticipated sequel to 'Enchanted', titled 'Disenchanted', is shaping up nicely. Among three new cast additions, it's been announced that Maya Rudolph has joined the line-up.
Maya Rudolph would be known for a whole heap of credits including 'Saturday Night Live' and 'Bridesmaids'.
She is a two-time Emmy award winner with TV credits also including 'Big Mouth' and 'The Good Place'.
She's also starring in 'The Mitchells Vs. the Machines' on Netflix.
Deadline reports that Rudolph will be playing the villain in 'Disenchanted', the antagonist having been played by Susan Sarandon in 2007's 'Enchanted'.
Back for the sequel are Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel and James Marsden.
They'll be reprising their roles of Giselle, Robert, Nancy and Prince Edward, respectively.
Deadline also announced that Jayma Mays of 'Glee' fame and 'Community's Yvette Nicole Brown are also on board for 'Disenchanted'.
Like Maya Rudolph, they'll possibly be playing evil characters.
But this is yet to be confirmed.
'Disenchanted' sees the return of Alan Menken to pen songs for the movie.
Adam Shankman is directing.
The feature will be exclusive to Disney+.
Filming locations include Ireland and LA, with production set to wrap this August.
