'Irish Wish' appears to be a mixture between '13 Going On 30', 'Freaky Friday' and 'Bridesmaids'. All classic films - but none of them set in Ireland.
She's tired of rumours starting, she's sick of being followed, she's tired of people lying, so she's headed off to the Emerald Isle to film her newest film. Yep, if you can believe it, Lindsay Lohan is in Ireland filming a Netflix rom-com and we honestly can't wait to see how this one turns out.
The star of two of 'Mean Girls' and 'The Parent Trap' (both of which we've seen countless times) is either currently in Ireland filming 'Irish Wish' or she's about to touch down her very soon. Earlier this week she took to Instagram to share a picture with her younger brother, Dakota, in front of Big Ben, recreating a photo that was taken while filming 'The Parent Trap' during the '90s. So - she's only about an hour's flight away should she pop over.
The Lindsay Lohan film set in Ireland currently doesn't have any other actors attached to it. The film will be directed by Janeen Damian, who also directed Lohan's other upcoming Netflix film a Christmas 2022 release called 'Falling for Christmas'. We're expecting lots and lots of cheese, so let's hope both films don't disappoint.
The logline for 'Irish Wish', which is filming in Dublin and Wicklow in September and October, is as follows:
When the love of her life gets engaged to her best friend, Maddie puts her feelings aside to be a bridesmaid at their wedding in Ireland. Days before the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realizes that her real soulmate is someone else entirely.
Earlier this week, news broke that Netflix were on the hunt for a lookalike to play Lindsay's body double for the release - so if you've got red hair and fancy rubbing shoulders with the actor, get applying.
