Netflix subscribers, prepare for more Cillian Murphy to be hitting your screens very soon.
If you missed it on BBC One the first time around, then Netflix has you sorted. The fifth instalment in the 'Peaky Blinders' series will be arriving onto Netflix this April.
The most recent six episodes of the series originally aired on BBC One between August and September 2019. Due to power of word-of-mouth, the Cillian Murphy-led TV show received its highest-ever viewer numbers during its fifth season, reaching a high of 7.4 million viewers for its opening episode. That's more than double the pilot episode received back in 2013.
The series, which also stars Helen McCrory and Paul Anderson, saw season five end with its most open-ended conclusion that we've seen thus far. That will happen to the Shelby family moving forward? Well, we're not so sure yet. The BBC hasn't yet confirmed when exactly we'll be seeing it return to our screens. However, we do know that World War II will be a major factor in season six.
Anyway, back to the present - Netflix have announced that the fifth season of the award-winning BBC drama will be available to stream from Wednesday, April 22nd.
