Yeasayer are set to return to the studio this summer to work on the follow up to their breakthrough album 'Odd Blood' from last year.
The eclectic Brooklyn band have already penned a number of new tracks and will road test them on their current North American tour.
"We are playing 3 or 4 NEW songs on this tour to fine tune and fix before we head into the studio this summer. Yes record number 3 is in the works!"
Yeasayer unveiled one of these new songs, 'The Devil And The Deed', on Conan with Conan O'Brien earlier this week. The also recently release two more new songs, 'Phoenix Wind' and 'Swallowing The Decibels' on a limited edition vinyl single for Record Store Day, but these songs are unlikely to feature on their upcoming third album.
