Legendary grunge outfit Soundgarden have announced details of their long-awaited Dublin return.

The Seattle group will play The O2 in Dublin on 16th September next, with tickets priced at €54.50 on sale at 9am this Friday.

Chris Cornell and co. formed almost thirty (!) years ago and their sixth album King Animal - their first for 15 years incidentally - was released in 2012 to much critical applause. Soundgarden recently reformed after splitting in 1996, during which time Cornell explored his solo career and formed Audioslave with three former members of Rage Against The Machine.

We're giving away tickets to the show over in our competitions section, so if you fancy heading along on the night throw your hat into the ring over yonder.
