Oh Lordy, sorry we mean Lorde, you are so cool and edgy. Reminds us of a young Alanis Morrisette, during her Jagged Little Pill stage obviously, not when she was busy being Robin Sparkles. *

The Royals singer has told the New York Times that she is certainly not okay with the term 'teen hottie', saying it makes her 'want to throw up'. In fairness to her, it can't exactly be comfortable being objectified like that. The music world can sometimes be a bit yucky towards young artists and that's a fact. However, the New Zealander doesn't mind being called a pop princess, if fact, that's what she calls herself!

'I'm a pop princess at heart. Pop is about distilling what you want to say and making it easy. And the way I write isn't about making things easy. It's a weird juxtaposition.'

However, despite her pukey feeling over the 'teen hottie' issue, she revealed that she's in no way prudish. She said, 'People like to paint me in a certain way, but I'm a hugely sex-positive person and I have nothing against anyone getting naked. For me personally, I just don't think it really would complement my music in any way or help me tell a story any better.'

So she won't be doing a Miley any time soon then. Good, that's so 2013.
