Westlife have confirmed that they have not one, but two Wembley Stadium gigs confirmed for this coming August.

If that wasn't enough Westlife for your Westlives, the pop group also announced that they have a new album on the way, after signing with East West Records / Warner Music earlier this week.

Pre-orders on the album are set to begin on March 23rd, while tickets for the Wembley Arena gig on August 22nd goes on sale next Friday, March 26th, at 10AM.

The first date of the two-date extravaganza was cancelled around this time last year as the pandemic took hold in the UK. However, with the massive rollout of vaccinations across the water, normal life looks set to resume there in some fashion by the summer.

The Wembley Stadium gigs will be the first of its kind to take place in the venue in nearly two years, not to mention the first large-scale live music event to take place in the UK, or Europe for that matter, since the pandemic began.

So far, the gigs planned for Páirc Uí Chaoimh are still slated to go ahead on August 28th of this year, but the way things are at the minute with the vaccination rollout in Ireland, who knows where we'll be by then?
