There's a big gig taking place in Pairc Ui Chaoimh next summer, and the rumours have already begun about who might be taking the stage at the Cork stadium.

With names like Bruce Springsteen and Garth Brooks (don't go there) being flung around willy-nilly, Westlife are currently frontrunners to be announced at a press conference which will be held by promoters MCD at the stadium next Monday at 8am.

The boyband enjoyed a successful comeback tour this summer that included two dates at Croke Park, and are rumoured to be embarking on another tour next year. A source told RSVP after their Dublin gigs: "It has already been said that they are going on another tour next year, but it is going to be bigger and better than the Twenty Tour.

"They are going to play in three cities in 2020; Dublin, Belfast as well as Cork."

With their new album 'Spectrum' released on November 15th, it's the perfect opportunity to build a buzz for it by announcing a big gig.
