Jay-Z is turning into quite the Adele/Chris Martin/Taylor Swift hybrid when it comes to bringing fans up on stage or giving them shout-outs.

Recently, the rapper directed an impassioned, inspirational speech at a young girl he spotted in the crowd - and on Saturday night, he went one better by bringing a cancer patient up on stage for a hug during his gig in Oakland, California.

He spotted a fan holding a sign up that said: "'I beat cancer 2x 2 see u! I love u!!! Selfie or hug?'", read it aloud and then said ""I gotta give you at least a hug. Could somebody help her around please?"

Sure enough, the fan in question made it up for both a selfie AND a hug, as well as a story to tell the grandkids.
