As you may know, Shane Lynch is one of the contestants comprising the motley crew of this year's Celebrity Big Brother, and the Boyzone man has been discussing his time in the boyband.

The Dubliner was talking about his musical career with r'n'b singer Ginuwine, saying that he 'knew his lane' in the band and calling himself a 'wing man' rather than a 'sing man'. He also spoke fondly about his former bandmate, who died in 2009 at the age of 33.

"One of our bandmates, he died. It was '09 he died. And he was one of the leads too," he told the American singer. "He was 33 when he died. When that happened, we were in the middle of making a new album and at that point we were like, 'What do we do? Do we call it a day? Is there no more Boyzone? Is that it?'"

He continued: "But every time we got together as a group, the four of us came together, it was very apparent that he was alive, when we came together - because that was our bubble. He's so there. So we'll always be five, regardless of visually what you see. He will always be there."

Fans on Twitter praised Lynch for his touching tribute to Gately:
