Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has made his feelings known on fans who weren't supportive of the band's new direction - and it seems that the fans have responded in kind.

In remarks that he later apologised for, Bennington said in response to fans who called them sellouts that he would 'punch them in the f**king mouth' - but while playing new song 'Heavy' at the recent HELLFEST festival in France, a member of the crowd threw a plastic jug on stage which narrowly missed the singer.

He is later seen pointing and gesturing to the culprit, and took to Twitter to acknowledge the incident:
