School of Rock, the story about a fake substitute teacher who turns a posh school choir into a badass rock band, won our hearts when it was released back in 2003. It’s hard to believe that was thirteen years ago and now its young cast are all grown up.

One of the success stories to have come out of the film was Rebecca Brown’s, who played the cool little bassist Katie.

I mean, c’mon, she really rocked that all-star pout.

Brown, who now commonly goes by Becca Brown, continued to pursue her talent for music. She has a popular following on Twitter and Instagram.

Here’s her rocking out on stage:

She writes her own music too, often adding comedy and satire to her songs:

It’s clear she’s come a long way and her career is on the rise. After all, it’s a long way to the top if you want to rock’n’roll.
