If Benedict Cumberbatch ever decides to give up the day job as a TV and film thesp, he might well have a decent career in musicals, if the below footage is anything to go by.

The actor appeared on stage at London's Royal Albert Hall last night, joining Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour as he sang one of the band's best-known tracks, 'Comfortably Numb'.

Even Gilmour himself seemed surprised, saying 'Who knew he could sing?'
