Over the last year or two there's been more and more live screenings of gigs via Satellite to cinemes throughout the country, but particularly the Movies@ cinemas in Swords and Dundrum.

On top of an impressive selection of classical events, these two cinemas have also lined up screenings of performances by massive rock acts Green Day and Bon Jovi for the month of November.

Having just announced dates at the RDS for June 2011, those that prefer a smaller ticket price and more comfortable seats can catch Bon Jovi's live show on the big screen at Movies@Swords and Movies@Dundrum on Thursday November 11th at 9.30pm. The show in question was filmed during their sold-out run at New York's New Meadowlands Stadium, the new home of the NY Giants and NY Jets, during The Circle World Tour. Bon Jovi's 11th studio album 'The Circle', was released November 10th 2009 and soon bagged the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. This 90 minute live concert film is exclusive to cinemas and there is only one screening in these two Movies@ cinemas so get your tickets early. Bon Jovi have also just released a new Greatest Hits album, which shot straight to the top of the Irish album charts.

The following Monday November 15th, you can catch one of Green Day's renowned live performances at 9.30pm in both Dundrum and Swords. Recorded by MTV at the Olympia Halle Munich, Germany during the band's massive 21st Century Breakdown tour, this film presents the veteran pop punks in high definition digital cinema and with surround sound audio. The show features all your favourite Green Day songs, including 21st Century Breakdown, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, When I Come Around and American Idiot among others.

Live performances at your local multiscreen. The way of the future, what?
