Scottish musician Finley Quaye played a gig in a venue in Gloucester, England the other night - but it didn't quite go according to plan.

In fact, it couldn't really have gone worse, as the promoter pulled the plug on Quaye and his band after a long, somewhat shambolic instrumental jam that saw him wandering around the stage with his back to the crowd, thirty minutes into the gig.

Speaking to the crowd after Quaye had walked off, the clearly upset promoter Matt Roberts was angry that Quaye had not turned up for the soundcheck at 3pm and then turned up an hour late for the gig, as he apologised to the crowd.

"We will refund the tickets, and I can only say that I am so sorry," he said. "I'm sorry, I will not sit here and pollute my venue with bullshit."

Quaye is best known for songs like 'Your Love Gets Sweeter' and 'Even After All', but has attracted controversy in recent years. In 2012, he pleaded guilty to a racially aggravated assault on a woman in Edinburgh and was declared bankrupt the same year.
