We know, we know. We're getting as tired of these 'Garth Brooks returning to Ireland' rumours as you are, honestly - but don't shoot the messenger.

This time, the message comes straight from the horse's mouth, however, as the country star has said himself in a Facebook webchat that he would 'love' to play in Dublin again - so it looks like he doesn't bear us any ill will after the Croke Park fiasco of 2014.

When responding to a question from a fan about where he'd like to perform that he hasn't already played, he said: "Oh my gosh... I've been lucky to play a lot of places, but I don't think I'll ever get to all the places I wanna play 'cos the main ingredient of where you wanna play is the sincerity of the people who are there that want to hear it. That's what it's all about.

"When people go 'Hey man, is there a place you haven't played yet?' - there's a place I haven't played yet that I've played before, if this makes any sense: Dublin, Ireland. How can I say it anymore than that? Crush your heart if you didn't get to play there again, I'd love to play there again."

So there you have it, folks - get him on the phone, stat, to finally put those rumours to bed. Oh, and someone break the news to the Lord Mayor of Cork while you're at it.
