Foo Fighters played their first live show since September 2012 earlier this week - to a handful of people in California pizza restaurant. Watch the fan-shot footage above.
Dave Grohl and the boys took to the tiny stage inside the Rock & Roll Pizza restaurant and churned out a 23 song set to the 200 or so people who were lucky enough to be inside the venue for the impromptu show.
Foo Fighters are scheduled to play the 55,000 capacity Foro Sol stadium in Mexico on Friday night, with The National as support, in what was dubbed as their live comeback but that has now been trumped by the set inside the Californian eatery.
The band's set included hits from the bands' near 20 year career but they stopped short of debuting any new material - something which they may be saving for the Mexico gig. Grohl has previously stated that it's likely that Foo Fighters will release a new album in 2014, a follow-up to 2011's Wasting Light, saying that the record is written but not yet fully recorded.
Foo Fighters released an image of a bloodstained guitar in November, stating that they were hard at work in rehearsals for their comeback to the live arena.
