Blink-182's Travis Barker was lucky to escape with his life in 2008, when the Learjet that he was travelling in crashed on the runway as it attempted to take off.
The drummer and Adam Goldstein - aka DJ AM - were the only two survivors of the crash, which sadly killed four other people. Goldstein sadly died of a drug overdose just a year later.
Barker rarely talks about the tragedy but has discussed the incident in a new interview with Good Morning America, where he spoke about his new memoir 'Can I Say'.
He talked about how he suffered serious burns to 65% of his body and required 27 surgeries in the aftermath of the accident. “The plane’s on fire, my hands are on fire," he said, recalling his escape from the burning plane. "I unbuckled my seatbelt, and I jump right into the jet, which holds all the fuel. I basically ignite my whole body."
He also mentioned that he has not flown since, but will when his children are prepared to get on a plane.
It was recently announced that Blink-182 are working on their new album - their first without founding member Tom DeLonge.
