Cellist Vyvienne Long is to play a date at Dundrum's Airfield park and woodland as part of their Spring programme.
Best known for her work with Damien Rice (which, if you ask me, he would have been nothing without), Vyvienne has been branching out on her own over the last couple of years adding pop and rock sensibilities to her cello led songs. Her core band includes three cellos piano, bass and drums. After the release of Birdtalk EP in 2006, Vyvienne is now working on her debut solo album, due for release later in 2009.
