Vantastival will open its doors at Bellurgan Park this weekend and this year’s crowd of campervan heads and music lovers is expected to be the biggest yet. Vantastival is a celebration of campervan culture and a music festival rolled into one and received rave reviews for its first two outings. Festivities will kick off on Friday with Ham Sandwich topping the bill on the first night and a pirate-themed fancy dress welcome ball, while the all Irish line up over the rest of the weekend comprises a diverse range of acts including Cathy Davey, Frankie Gavin and DeDannan, Le Galaxie, The Original Rudeboys, RSAG and Jinx Lennon, with Glen of the Downs instrumental rockers God is and Astronaut headlining on Sunday night. Over 70 acts are due to play on the three main stages over the weekend, while the LockUp Stage will also host an array of local bands and the Open Mic Stage gives everyone a chance to play to a festival audience.
