So Coachella, the only US musical festival we'd trade in our Glastonbury, Primavera and Electric Picnic tickets to see, raised the bar this morning. Snoop Dogg's Sunday night closer was a monster of a set that brought together the D, O double G and some of hip-hop's biggest current stars such as Tony Yayo, Warren G, Kurupt, 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, and Eminem who helped out with "Forgot About Dre," "I Need a Doctor" and his own "Till I Collapse."

While that roll call is impressive, why we'll still be talking about this set for years to come is that is was the first, but after watching twitter blow up for the last hour likely not the last set to feature a dead artist as well. Tupac, who for those who've lost count has been dead more that 15 years, arrived on stage in acid washes jeans and no top just as we liked him in 1995 and joined Snoop on "Come With Me," "Hail Mary" and "Gangsta Party."

Wherever you fit on the scale of thinking this is amazing to creepy, everyone has to admit the trick did the job. One tweeter summed it up: "I can't even begin to imagine what this Tupac hologram is doing to all the people at Coachella that have been on acid for 3 days straight” @JordanETID.

If dead rappers aren't your think, the festival also featured Pulp, Swedish House Mafia,The Black Keys, Mazzy Star, Florence & The Machine and about a million others. See you there in 2013?
