After posting a cryptic tweet saying 'God save me' yesterday afternoon, it was revealed that Barker had been rushed to hospital, with photos from TMZ showing him being carried on a stretcher into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA, with his new wife by his side.

Initially the issue was 'undisclosed' and his 16-year-old daughter Alabama asked followers to "Please send your prayers" for her father.

It has since been revealed that Barker - who was one of two survivors of a Learjet plane crash in 2008 that killed four people - is suffering from a bout of pancreatitis that was triggered by a recent colonoscopy.

Entertainment Tonight reported a 'source' revealing that he "was sick and had intense pain in his abdomen, and it really concerned him and Kourtney. They called 911 and he was rushed to the hospital. After speaking with Travis and running several tests, doctors said Travis is suffering from pancreatitis."

Some of his fellow musicians tweeted their support, including rapper Kid Cudi and singer Bebe Rexha.

Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas that can cause fever, nausea, vomiting and unintentional weight loss. It usually resolves itself in a few days with rest and treatment, but in more severe cases caused by gallstones, can involve surgery to remove the gallbladder.
