Record Store Day is nearly upon us once again and Tower Records have today released their schedule of events which will take place in their Wicklow Street store on Saturday April 20th.
Among those playing free live sets in store will be: The #1's, Owensie, Blind Yackety, Gypsy Rebel Rabble, The Urges, The Hot Sprockets, The Eskies, Sweet Jane, Ghost Estates, Twilight Sad and likely a few more yet to be announced. Tower's doors will be open until 9pm.
Tower will open its doors at 9am and on their shelves they will have all manner of limited edition releases from the likes of Nick Cave, The Band, Kate Bush, The White Stripes, Elliott Smith, Notorious BIG, James Blake, The Verve, The Flaming Lips, The Beta Band and many more.
This year is the sixth incarnation of Record Store Day, an international event designed to encourage support of local record stores the world over.
