As you'll probably know, the Tour de Picnic is an annual charity event that sees thousands of cyclists making their way to Electric Picnic from Dublin on two wheels.

As you'll also probably know - especially if you're a past participant - it's not just a case of rocking up to the start point on the day and cycling 80km with no bother.

The TdP takes a bit of training - and organisers have launched a competition giving those taking part in this year's event a chance to win a wheelbarrow of goodies upon their arrival at Stradbally.

All you have to do is take a selfie of yourself over the coming months as you train for the Rabo Direct Tour de Picnic, tag it with @TourdePicnic and upload it to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

There are various themes running each month; June is 'rural', July is 'urban' and August is 'steep' - so get training, and get snapping. The closing date for entries is the 23:59 on the last day of each month, and the winner will be notified via Facebook and email.

Needless to say, don't put yourself or others in danger on the road by taking selfies on a moving bike. You want to make it to the start line in one piece, after all.

If you haven't signed up for the Tour de Picnic cycle already (the run is now sold out), you can find more details on it here.
