There's so many fantastic Irish acts performing at this weekend's Hard Working Class Heroes festival, it was tough to whittle our recommendations down to just ten. With 101 acts performing across seven Dublin venues over three nights, you'll be spoilt for choice this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Whoever you're planning to see, make sure to catch some of these guys, you won't regret it.

HalvesThursday, The Workman's Club, 11pm-11.30pm

This ambient Dublin group played a blinder at HWCH 2008 before disappearing off the radar for the past while. Now they're back and set to release their debut album 'It Goes, It Goes (Forever and Ever)' with some even more impressive instrument swapping and atmospheric electronics on October 29th.

The Cast of CheersSaturday, The Workman's Club, 11.45pm-12.30am

This Dublin band have made waves with the jerky math rock and post punk riffs of their debut album 'Chariot' earlier this year. The fact that it's totally free from bandcamp.com didn't hurt either.

Cloud Castle LakeFriday, Twisted Pepper, 9pm-9.30pm

These Dublin lads knocked out some impressively noisy, experimental electronic rock at the Electric Picnic this year. Well worth a look.

Sacred AnimalsFriday, The Mercantile, 9pm-9.30pm

The brainchild of Wexford native Darragh Nolan, Sacred Animals' recently released 'Welcome Home' EP boasts some of the most impressive new Irish music of the year so far. Their eerie ambiences and surf pop harmonies are an absolute must for HWCH 2010.

LaFaroSaturday, Twisted Pepper, 10.30pm-11pm

If you want to mosh like a madman, there's no better bet than Belfast's LaFaro.

Planet ParadeFriday, The Workman's Club, 9.30pm-10pm

These young Kildare boys may be relatively new to the business but their catchy indie-pop is packed with the kind of snappy and easy-going hooks that are sure to see them hit the big time.

EnemiesThursday, The Grand Social, 10.10pm-10.40pm
With their debut album 'We've Been Talking' getting them noticed all over Ireland, this Wicklow quartet will knock you out with their jerky instrumental post-rock.

The Holy Roman ArmySaturday, Twisted Pepper, 8.30pm-9pm

Brother/sister duo Chris and Laura Coffey set themselves apart from the crowd with their understated and even more underappreciated debut album 'How The Light Gets In' last year. Perfect for chilling out to.

R.S.A.G.The Button Factory, Friday, 11pm-11.30pm

Ok so this recommendation is somewhat predictable, but Jeremy Hickey's live performances really are breathtaking and his second album 'Be It Right Or Wrong' is an impressive feat too. If you've yet to catch one of his sets with live drums, backing tracks and virtual band make sure you rectify that this Friday.
