On the heels of a short-lived and poorly received East 17 reunion tour, songwriter and leadman Tony Mortimer has finally done the smart thing and decided to fly solo. The tour ended up playing out in small towns and second rate clubs after Mortimer jumped ship after coming to blows with bandmate Brian Harvey in 2006.

Always the brains of the operation, Mortimer wrote 12 Top Ten hits for the 90s boyband and even received an Ivor Novello award for his songwriting skills. Now he has a new management team and is determined to start his career over. God only knows why it took him so long.
